As with the Season 1 box set, the Season 2 box set is rated 12. Although I can’t be sure, I would have to assume that this at least partially relates to the knife and crossbow use by Eduardo O’Brien in Mouth of the Snake. The reason I believe this is due to the fact that every version of the episode that I’ve seen that aired before 9pm on British TV has had the knife scene completely edited out. In fact the only time that I have ever seen the knife scene remain intact was when the episode was shown in nineties on ITV at 2am, a time that ironically had the crossbow scene heavily edited. Unlike Season 1, I have to say that I found no issues to overtly effect my enjoyment of this box set. Thankfully each episode is presented in the correct order, and from what I can tell, no scenes or music have been edited out of any episode, although I must admit that I could have very easily missed some musical editing if any is indeed found to have occurred. Also, just like the Region 2 Season 1 box set, the picture and sound quality are excellent thanks to what I presume to be the digital re-mastering of the original source material once again.

Now when I said that I found no issues to overtly effect my enjoyment, I was alluding to an issue that is quiet big on disk 4. As those of you who own the box set presumably know, the first three disks, and the last two disks have the option of playing all the episodes back to back, rather than watching them one at time. However disk 4 only allows you to watch one episode at time, omitting the play all option, as well as the subtitle option on the main menu, although the subtitles are available when accessing each episode individually. For a box set such as this, it is a big issue because each of the disks should be thoroughly checked before mass production… although I may yet discover that this is an isolated issue that has only occurred to me, and if that is indeed the case, I will be contacting Amazon at my earliest convenience to request a replacement be shipped to me.

So would I recommend buying the Region 2 Season box set? Yes I would. However, as with the season 1 box set, if you have a multi region DVD player, you may wish to purchase the Region 1 box set because much like the Region 2 version of Season 1, the teasers are once again omitted which is something that fans whom are much more hardcore than I am these days will miss.
